Origin: Kunming, Yunnan, China
Specificity: Cooked Pu'erh tea brick, vintage 2003
Packaging: 250 grams, original packaging
Bouquet: Subtle, earthy aromas with light notes of damp undergrowth. The liqueur is smooth, slightly sweet, and easy to appreciate, even for novice palates.
Properties: A comforting tea, traditionally known to warm the digestive system, promote better circulation, and help reduce fat. Perfect after meals.
Dosage: 8 to 10 grams depending on the number of guests and the desired intensity.
Preparation: Start by “waking up” the tea with boiling water at 100°C, rinsing it twice for 2 to 3 seconds.
Then proceed with the infusion:
-
1st infusion: 6 seconds at 90°C
-
2nd: 9 seconds
-
Then add 6 seconds to each new infusion
The gradual infusion allows the earthy aromas of the tea to be extracted, which become more rounded as it steeps, revealing all their sweet and woody richness.
Tone: The color of this tea oscillates between a luminous ochre for quick infusions and a dark, deep ruby hue as the aromas concentrate.
Taste: Full-bodied and assertive, this tea offers a strong personality. Notes of camphor, patchouli, damp leaves, rock, and flint intertwine opulently, leaving a long and generous earthy aftertaste.
Texture: Dense, aromatic and tannic, it coats the palate with a persistent and pleasant warmth.
Storage: Store in its original packaging, without an airtight container. Avoid large volumes and strong odors. Ideally, a ventilated space such as a bookcase is ideal.
This cooked Pu'erh matures over time. It develops an additional aromatic richness over the years. It has no expiration date.
