Origin: Yunnan
Specificity: Raw tea from 2005
Packaging: Mushroom-shaped
Properties: Ancient aroma and smoky flavor. The tea infusion has a relatively high bitterness. The tea tastes smoky. Pu'er tea is a fragrant and memorable tea.
Dosage: 8 grams for long and generous tastings. After 8 infusions, I recommend boiling it for 10 minutes and be surprised by its authentic taste.
Preparation: Bring the tea to 100°C and rinse it quickly (2-3 seconds), preferably twice. Then, infuse the tea at a temperature of 90°C for 6 seconds, followed by the next infusion for 9 seconds. Add 6 seconds for each additional infusion.
The water passes through the tea, allowing you to appreciate its generous and surprising aromas, which soften over the course of the infusions. The color of the infusion is brown. 15 seconds - the first sip - the taste is sweet with slight aged tones at the end. Further sips highlight the mature flavors. The sweetness returns to the mouth through your nose. No bitterness. Nothing disturbing. Second cup - more mature taste, lots of sweetness, still no bitterness. The astringency arrives tentatively. You can detect the camphor flavors in the teapot. Third cup - the astringency increases and you can observe a cooling effect on your body. More mature taste. 25s - the fourth, fifth infusion; the bitterness is now gone.
Nose, Smell: Animal, tannery, smoke, bacon, cooked vegetable
Flavor: Full-bodied, robust, smooth, and creamy. Discover notes of tannery, smoke, bacon, and a palette of woody and complex flavors.
Palate: Full-bodied, complex, long-lasting, opulent, with a tannic and woody presence. Tobacco, cigars, sweet, persistent.
Tonalities: Ochre, bright orange, sun
Storage: Store in its original packaging and do not enclose the mushroom in an airtight container. For optimal aging, avoid large spaces and strong odors (incense, cigars, etc.). Ideal for display and leaving in the open air (e.g., in a library). They mature with age.
