Discover our Reine des Pivoines cake, a white tea from Fuding harvested in 2021, compressed according to tradition. Its infusion is soft, silky, and aromatic. Fresh, slightly green notes evolve into aromas of sweet citrus and red fruits over time. An opulent, smooth, slightly mineral texture. This white tea is perfect to drink young for its freshness, or to age to reveal all its complexity.

Origin: Tea grown in Fuding, on the slopes of Mount Taimu, in Fujian Province (China). This is the historical cradle of Chinese white teas.

Harvest year: 2021 – Spring harvest – (also available depending on vintage)

Special feature: Compressed Bai Mu Dan (White Peony) cake, wrapped in traditional handmade paper. (The packaging may vary slightly depending on the year.)

Packaging: Whole cake of 357 g, ideal for gradual consumption or for aging.

Aromatic profile:

  • Nose: Very floral on opening – lilac, wisteria, peony.
  • On the palate: Vegetable and mineral notes, fluid and ample texture.
  • Evolution: Aromas of yellow fruits, currants and blueberries with age.

Recommended dosage: 7g for approximately 10 infusions. A plant and floral infusion, to be adjusted according to your taste.

Number of possible infusions: A 357g cake gives you up to 50 gong fu cha infusion sessions .

Preparation method:

  • Preferably use low mineral water.
  • Rinse briefly (2-3 seconds) at 100°C.
  • First infuse for 5 seconds, then gradually increase (8, 11, +3s each time).
  • Ideal in a porcelain teapot or gaiwan.

Tone: Clear, bright, golden yellow , smooth and syrupy liqueur.

Storage instructions:

  • Store the cake in its original packaging, away from strong odors.
  • Avoid airtight containers: the tea must be able to breathe.
  • This white tea can age indefinitely , developing deeper aromas over time.
  • After several years, you will discover notes of candied citrus, exotic fruits, and a rounder texture .
