This tea is a designation because there are only 4 trees in all of China

Legend : According to tradition, the mother of a Ming emperor was cured by an infusion made from tea trees growing in the Wuyi Gorge. In homage, the emperor had these sacred trees dressed in large red robes – hence their name: Da Hong Pao . Today, only four original tea trees remain, strictly protected and never harvested.
