Old Tree Tea – Raw Pu'erh

Origin : Pu'erh, Yiwu, Yunnan, China

Specificity: This raw Pu'erh tea ball comes from large ancient trees in the Yiwu region , with carefully selected leaves.
The tea was
stored naturally in Kunming , benefiting from a dry and stable environment, promoting slow, clean and bright development .

The surprise is remarkable: despite its relatively young age, the aromatic development is already very accomplished.
A tea offering great value , both for immediate enjoyment and as a reasonable investment .

Packaging : Tuocha (compressed ball)
Weight:
250 g
Wrapped in its
original paper

Bouquet : Citrine liqueur , luminous and bright , with golden reflections.
The wet leaves reveal deep notes of
camphor, patchouli, flint , with a noble and vibrant vegetal character.

Properties : Excellent storage. Gentle and controlled astringency , accompanied by a quick and clean Hui Gan (sweet finish). A lingering aroma develops after each sip. A deeply comforting tea , ideal for slow, meditative, and contemplative sipping.

Tone : Golden citrine liqueur , very bright, which gradually evolves towards browner hues over the course of infusions.

Taste : The liqueur is sweet and elegant . Notes of plum sugar and yellow flowers are supported by a base of smooth, polished hardwoods . Rinsed leaves evoke dates and ripe fruit .
Slightly astringent, without being harsh. The infusion gradually turns
brown , a sign of its beautiful depth.

Texture : smooth and full , very pleasant in the mouth.
A marked sensation of camphor , with woody, smoky and damp notes , typical of great terroir Pu'erh.

Dosage: 8 grams for long and generous infusions.
After
8 infusions , it is recommended to boil the tea for 10 minutes to discover an even deeper and more surprising expression of its authentic palate.

Preparation : Heat the tea to 100°C . Rinse twice quickly (2–3 seconds). First infusion at 90°C – 6 seconds . Second infusion: 9 seconds. Add 6 seconds to each subsequent infusion.

The water slowly passes through the material, revealing generous aromas that soften and refine with each infusion.

Evolution in the cup : 15 seconds first sip: sweet taste, light aged notes on the finish

Second cup: riper, very sweet, without bitterness

Astringency appears timidly

Third cup: refreshing sensation on the body, increased maturity

25 seconds (4th–5th infusion): the bitterness has completely disappeared

Storage : Excellent tea to store in your tea chest .
A Tuocha worthy of a
traditional Chinese medicine cabinet in a collection.

Keep in its original packaging , do not store in an airtight container.
Avoid overly large spaces and strong odors (incense, cigars…).
Ideal for outdoor use (bookshelf, bookcase).
This tea
matures beautifully over time .

Note : The presence of small holes in the packaging is possible due to the age of the tea and is part of its natural history.
